This necklace is going to be difficult to describe without being able to hand it to you for you to be able to hold it, touch it, and play with it. At first I thought it was a belt because I remember wearing those chain belts with the dangles years ago at the same time as the huge bell bottom pants! My daughter came by one night and showed it to her because it is so beautiful and unusual and interesting. She picked it up, looked at it for a couple of minutes and then put it on - a necklace. Looked great on her. This necklace measures 34 inches long with the looped chains hanging down longer than that. The regular part of the necklace is double chains - flat loops. Those glass crystal beads are solid faceted glass, heavy and beautiful. Some are a mauve light pink and the other are a smokey grey. Either side where they hang down, that is 5 inches. Obviously this necklace has some weight to it. Cannot tell if it has ever been worn, but it shows no wear. One of the most unusual and spectacular pieces of jewelry I have ever seen. This is definitely looking for a home with that right person. Definitely a conversation piece! |
